1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of driving lessons by Pass Plus S.O.M. ("we", "us", "our") to you ("the pupil", "you"). By booking lessons with us, you agree to these terms.
Pass Plus S.O.M. is a professional automatic driving school serving Sussex and surrounding areas. We specialise exclusively in automatic transmission vehicles.
2. Booking & Payment
- Lessons must be booked in advance through our website, app, or by contacting us directly.
- Payment is required at the time of booking or as agreed for lesson packages.
- We accept payment by credit/debit card or online payment methods.
- Lesson packages and credits are non-transferable to other persons.
- Prices are subject to change, but any booked lessons will be honoured at the price paid.
3. Cancellation Policy
48-Hour Notice Required
You must give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in the full lesson fee being charged.
- 48+ hours notice: Full refund or reschedule at no charge
- Less than 48 hours notice: Full lesson fee charged
- No-show: Full lesson fee charged
- Cancellations must be made by phone, text, or through our booking system.
4. Refund Policy
- Refunds for unused lessons are available upon request, minus any lessons already taken.
- Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice are non-refundable.
- Refunds for lesson packages will be calculated at the standard single lesson rate for lessons already taken.
- Refunds will be processed within 10 working days using the original payment method.
14-Day Cooling-Off Period: As a consumer, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of booking and receive a full refund for any lessons not yet taken.
5. Lesson Conduct
- You must hold a valid provisional or full UK driving licence for lessons.
- You must bring your driving licence to every lesson.
- You must be fit to drive - not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that impairs driving.
- Appropriate footwear must be worn (no flip-flops, high heels, or bare feet).
- The instructor reserves the right to terminate a lesson if these conditions are not met.
6. Punctuality
- Lessons will start at the agreed time. Please be ready at the pickup location.
- If you are not ready, lesson time will be reduced accordingly.
- If you are more than 15 minutes late without contact, the lesson may be marked as a no-show.
- If your instructor is late, the lesson will be extended or rescheduled.
7. Driving Test
- Practical driving tests are booked and paid for separately through the DVSA.
- The DVSA requires 10 clear working days' notice to cancel or reschedule a test.
- We are not responsible for lost test fees if you cancel within this period.
- Use of our vehicle for your driving test includes the lesson fee for that time.
- If your instructor believes you are not ready for your test, they may advise postponement but the final decision is yours.
8. Health & Medical Conditions
- You must declare any medical conditions that may affect your ability to drive safely.
- You must meet the DVSA eyesight requirements (read a number plate from 20 metres).
- If you feel unwell on the day of a lesson, please inform us as soon as possible.
9. Insurance & Vehicle
- Our instructor's vehicle is fully insured for driving tuition purposes.
- You are covered as a learner driver while under instruction in our vehicle.
- You must not use a mobile phone while driving during lessons.
10. Instructor Cancellations
If your instructor needs to cancel a lesson due to illness, vehicle issues, or other circumstances:
- We will offer a replacement lesson at the earliest convenient time.
- Where possible, we may offer a replacement instructor.
- No charge will be made for lessons cancelled by us.
11. Adverse Weather
- In cases of severe weather (snow, ice, flooding), lessons may be cancelled for safety reasons.
- Such cancellations will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
- The instructor will make the final decision on whether conditions are safe for driving.
12. Data Protection
We take your privacy seriously. In accordance with GDPR:
- We collect only the information necessary to provide our services.
- Your data is stored securely and not shared with third parties without consent.
- You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.

13. Complaints
We aim to provide excellent service. If you have any concerns:
- Please speak to your instructor first to resolve any issues.
- If unresolved, contact us by email and we will respond within 5 working days.
- We take all complaints seriously and will work to reach a fair resolution.
14. Limitation of Liability
- Our liability is limited to the value of lessons paid for.
- We are not liable for any indirect losses or expenses.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
